Paradise awaits at affordable prices with the Hilton Worldwide’s Winter Escape Packages, now offering luxurious getaways to San Juan and Fajardo, Puerto Rico. From now through March 31, 2010, guests who book this special deal will receive breakfast for two, plus earn a $50 activity credit for each consecutive two-night stay up to $200 at one of Hilton Worldwide’s select Puerto Rico resorts. In addition, the package includes a bonus offer those guests who book the Winter Escapes Package by January 31, 2010, will receive a certificate for a complimentary one-night stay during a future visit at any of the participating properties.

It’s hard to believe that such a luxurious resort is offering room rates as low was $199/N, but the Conrad San Juan Condado Plaza in San Juan, Puerto Rico has no tricks up its sleeve when it comes to coupling affordable prices and upscale island accommodations. Guests needn’t even leave the hotel to view the ocean, as guestrooms offer splendid views of the Atlantic and comfortable quarters worthy of royalty.Three on-site pools are available for a relaxed swim or poolside lounging, as well as a children’s poolside play area and toddler’s pool for the water-loving wee ones. After saving so much booking this hotel, guests can use some of their extra money at the 24-hour casino or dine at one of the resort’s five  restaurants, ranging from casual family-style to more elegant affairs. For the latter, you can arrange babysitting with the hotel and plan a romantic evening all just for adults.

You get what you pay for at the El San Juan Hotel & Casino, and then some. Though rates start higher at $229/N per room, perhaps the most alluring facet of this hotel is its spacious, sleek modern design and its casual atmosphere. Visitors can sunbathe on the two miles of shore at the Isla Verde Beach or at one of the resort’s own large pools, one of which features a waterfall. Water sports are available in the area, including jet skiing, parasailing and riding in banana boats. Restaurants abound and vary from Japanese style cuisine to Midwest style eats.

What is unique about this next Puerto Rican resort is that it certainly does conquer all other hotels in and surrounding the Fajardo area in style, location and on-site activities. For rates starting at $259/N per room, guests who choose the El Conquistador Resort will not have one dull day during their stay here with the hotel’s many amenities and daily activities. Along with a 16,500-square-foot casino, the resort also features Camp Coqui, a supervised kids club, as well as Coqui Water Park, which provides waterslides, a large main pool and a lazy river, perfect for a fun-soaked day without having to leave the resort. El Conquistador Resort also boasts its own 100-acre private island, Palomino Island, which impresses with white-sand beaches and fun recreational activities including horseback riding and walking trails. Guided environmental tours are available at the nearby El Yunque Rainforest as well as very colorful tours to Bioluminescent Bay. Teeny boppers can get their fill at Las Olas Village’s Teen Lounge, which features arcade video games. And with 23 restaurants serving an array of international cuisine, no one in the family will go hungry. At the end of the day, full views of pristine gardens never fail to impress and blue-green ocean views go as far as the eye can see.

At a slightly higher rate, the Las Casitas Resort, which shares the grounds with El Conquistador, offers a more intimate experience and features luxury one-, two- and three-bedroom style villas complete with kitchen, private pools and 24-hour butler service. For $289/N per room, guests receive not only these amenities but full access to all El Conquistador Resort amenities as well. After being pampered throughout your stay, you’ll realize the extra money spent was worth it.

Again, the travel and booking window for the Winter Escapes Package for these hotels is now through March 31, 2010, while the $50 activity credit is based upon a consecutive two-night stay during the same visit offering up to a $200 credit on a stay of eight or more consecutive nights. Guests can call Waldorf Astoria Collection reservations at 800/925-3673 or visit the Waldorf Astoria website.
