The ultimate chocolate lover can savor an even sweeter experience to an already decadent hotel stay by indulging in a package called The Chocoholic, offered by top Chicago hotel Swissôtel Chicago.

In addition to award-winning hospitality, the Swissôtel is centrally located at the intersection of Lake Michigan and the Chicago River.  The Swissôtel will offer a unique chocolate experience that will satisfy any sweet tooth. This package includes a plethora of activities for both adults and children.

Guests will receive moist, rich brownies and warm hot chocolate for two catered upon request. Also, guests can enjoy a traditional style fondue experience. This made-to-order amenity includes the legendary Toblerone chocolate, served in a communal dish, with fresh slices of bananas, pineapples and strawberries, as well as pound cake to dip into the melted Swiss almond honey chocolate.

This delectable package also includes two tickets for the Chicago Chocolate Tour, a fun and educational 2.5-hour excursion that allows guests to explore an assortment of the best chocolate eateries in a variety of locations throughout the city. Participants will learn about the rich history of chocolate while sampling an array of eclectic chocolate flavors.

For kids, the Swissôtel Chicago will offer two VIK (Very Important Kid) events hosted by Pastry Chef Mary.  Ideal for the miniature chocolate connoisseur, on October 3rd from 10 to 11am, children will be taught how to bake the ultimate Halloween brownie. During the holiday season on December 19th, kids will have the opportunity to learn how to craft the perfect holiday brownie. These events are both free of charge but reservations are required so call 312/268-8110 to reserve a spot.

Also, upon arrival at The Swissôtel Chicago, kids will receive a complimentary coloring book to enjoy in their own private desk with kid friendly chairs. Once check-in procedures are completed, kids can select their very own adjoined themed room complete with DVD’s, video games, toys and books, and a child-sized bed. Once kids eventually work up an appetite and tire from their supply of chocolate, there are a variety of meals they can choose from. Some of the menu items include a four-ounce sirloin burger, butter pasta and meatballs, or a very exclusive make-your-own PB&J especially made with crust-less bread. Kids are also notorious for creating unsightly messes so the Swissotel Chicago offers a quick laundry service for an additional fee. Parents traveling with tweens and teens have the added perk of free wireless Internet in all guestrooms. And don't forget that kid-approved pool on the 42nd Floor.

The package is available October 2, 2009 through January 31, 2010. Rates start at $249/N in October, at $229/N in November and at $189/N in December.

Once you and your family have recovered from your chocolate hangover, there are many other nearby attractions that you can embark on, minutes from the Swissôtel Chicago.
