Free Night at Missouri’s Chateau on the Lake Resort and Spa
This summer, if you're looking for a relaxing lakeside getaway, take advantage of the new packages offered by Chateau on the Lake Resort in Branson, Missouri. This AAA four-diamond luxury hotel and spa, nestled among the mountains, is a great homebase for your family vacation to Branson.
The resort overlooks Table Rock Lake, 52,000 acres of clear water that are perfect for water sports. Swim leisurely or enjoy some water sports; you can ski, boat, sail, snorkel, scuba dive, jet ski, parasail, and, of course, fish. Plus, Table Rock has a reputation for safety, with Water Patrol and Coast Guard Auxiliary, knowledgeable boaters, and plenty of room for boaters to spread out.
With the Chateau's "Day on the Lake Package," you'll get a $100 credit for the Chateau Marina, where you'll be able to try out any of the water sports offered. The package, starting at $545, includes a two-night stay in deluxe accommodations, as well as a picnic for four to make your lakeside afternoon as enjoyable as possible. This package is available May 22 through September 30, 2009.
Or, if you'll be staying on a Sunday night through Thursday night before October 2009, take advantage of the "Stay 2 nights, and get the 3rd night free" deal. You'll also get: free use of paddleboats, sea canoes and kayaks at the resort's Chateau Marina on Table Rock Lake; complimentary use of the resort's 24-hour fitness center; nightly movies in the resort's Sassafras Theatre; and children 5 and under eat free off of the Chateau Grille/Atrium Café kid's menu or breakfast buffet with a paying adult. Room rates at the resort start at $179 per night. This deal does not apply to packages.
Back at the hotel, you'll have plenty to do. Spend a day getting pampered in the 14,000-square-foot full-service Spa Chateau (spa features include customized body treatments, steaming Infinity tubs filled from a spout in the ceiling, and a Roman Bath situated beneath a waterfall overlooking Table Rock Lake), or enjoy a few rounds of golf at one of six area courses. Meanwhile, if you have kids 4-12, they can stay busy with games at Crawdaddies Kids' Club.
In addition to having luxurious amenities, Chateau on the Lake is family-friendly. Kids will enjoy the play castle and the Sassafras Theatre, which shows popular kids' movies with complimentary popcorn. Tennis rackets are also free, so you can play a game before you dive into the heated pool.
When you leave the Resort, there is still more to do. Nearby Branson, considered the "Live Music Show Capital of America," features around 100 live shows per day. Just down the road are several theme parks, including Silver Dollar City (which has a Mom's Blog on their website to give you some helpful tips), with an Ozarks-themed amusement park and the White Water Family Water Park. Plus, the National KidsFest (running June 6-August 9, 2009) will feature special performances that the whole family will enjoy, including dancers, an illusionist, and the characters of Veggie Tales.
