Look up at the stars in Philadelphia and celebrate Galileo at the Franklin Institute with Galileo, The Medici and The Age of Astronomy exhibit. Open now through September 7, 2009, the Franklin is hosting the world premiere of this unique display, an exhibit celebrating both the 400^th anniversary of Galileo's discoveries and the International Year of Astronomy. The exhibit contains almost 100 artifacts never before seen in Philadelphia; a highlight is one of only two existing Galileo telescopes. Through artifacts, drawings, and personal items of Galileo, this exhibit shows the impact he had on science and astronomy.
