Our eight month old daughter, Isadora is already discovering a love of music -- it's the one thing that keeps her amused during long car trips. During those final fifteen minutes of our journeys, when it seems that she can't bare to be in that car seat any longer, we play "Insy Weensy Spider" and her mood immediately changes. That's why were were thrilled to test out the SweetPea 3, a digital MP3 Player designed specifically for little ones.

Though our girl is too young to make it work on her own, the big buttons and soft, water-proof covering makes it attractive to her little hands. The Sweet Pea 3 comes loaded with a some hit kid's recordings -- like the ABC song, a reading of "The Tortoise and the Hare" and "I've Been Working on the Railroad" -- so its ready to go. You can also download your own music from your computer (PC and Mac).

We attached it to her stroller bar and took walk in the park, happy to leave our own iPod safe at home. Our one complaint about the Sweet Pea 3 is that it's really difficult to change the volume. Presumably this is to prevent toddlers from cranking it up too high, but there are so many steps to take it adjust the sound, even grown ups will find it frustrating. Especially if you're in a hurry!
