We recently had a product sent to the office to review called the DATEXX UltraBattery. Basically, if you charge it overnight before a lengthy trip, it'll last a fairly long time and is compatible with iPods, computers and specific cell phones. For the iPod, however, you need to supply your own cord, as the device doesn't come with one. (It does include a cord for phone and computer) The best thing about the device it that it's small in size and fairly easy to use. One of the other interns is trying it out currently, so we'll see how it passes the test for her!

I'm far from being a green activist (I do try, though), but I thought these articles would be helpful for those wanting to travel while keeping their carbon footprint as minimal as possible:

Matador Travel's 10-steps-hotels-can-take-to-go-greener
Wherever you go, spread the word. This article (search for it on their site) gives some tips on how hotels can go greener - whether or not they take your advice, you can feel better about letting others know how they can be less impacting on the environment around them.

Matador Travel Change
If you visit the Matador Travel website's category, Change, you'll find a lot of articles in their archives for green guides to a number of travel destinations. Green eating, lodging, activities and other advice puts the eco-friendly farer's worries to rest.

MSNBC's Green Travel Advice
Somewhat redundant, but msnbc gets on the green wave and shares some tips for responsible traveling.

That's all I have for now - my other bookmarks are lost in a sea of marked favorites - but one last suggestion: Make your own Halloween costume this year! A great online site I've been using for over a year now has been Instructables - they have some neat how-to-dos for costume making this year, so be sure to check them out!

(Sorry, I couldn't add links, the system wouldn't allow it)
