We've scoured the product lines from a number of vendors to find the essential items for your next trip with baby. Here are some excellent items to choose from.
Graco Pack N Play Portable Playard ($129.88) Ideal for 0-4 year olds up to 30lbs. and under 35 inches tall (Bassinet for children up to 15lbs.), this easily transportable, wheeled playard is a great item to bring to grandma's house, a campground, a hotel room, or even to the beach. The zippered mesh top and removable canopy will allow baby to be protected from the sun and to see you at the same time.
Graco Classic Infant Swing (in Super Safari) ($69.99) For a busy visit anytime away from home, this multi-purpose item folds compactly, cleans up easily, and functions as a swing, a seat, a napping spot, and a play area providing your child with comfort and support. Sit N Secure (Leachco; $12.95) This simple harness folds almost to napkin size, then unfolds to create a secure seating harness to keep a child from slipping or sliding while in a chair, shopping cart or French café sans high chairs. Essential Child-Proofing Kit (Safety First, $8.95) This is a 40-piece kit for the compulsive baby-proofer, for use at home, at Grandma's, in hotel rooms and condominiums. A collection of electrical outlet covers would also suffice for a few bucks less.
Bath Pal Thermometer (Safety First, $4.99) This digital thermometer makes a nice bath or pool toy, while ensuring that the water temperature falls within safe range. Available in friendly duck or seal design.
Pee Wees Disposable Changing Pads ($3.49 for pack of 12) Soft and sanitary, with a moisture barrier, one dozen pads are good for changing, burping or feeding the baby. Available in most baby retail stores.
