Crown Paradise Club, Cancun
Top All-Inclusive Resort
by Fran Falkin

Crown Paradise Club was honored as a Top All-Inclusive Resort for parents with infants and toddlers in 2001.

Crown Paradise Club was honored as a Top All-Inclusive Resort in 2001 by our parent company, Family Travel Forum, for reaching out to those caring for infants, toddlers and children under 5 years, as well as older siblings.  Each winner offers such superb childcare, exceptional recreational facilities, real value for money, and overall excellence, that they give proof to FTF's motto: Have Kids, Still Travel!  Here's a look at the resort today.

Crown Paradise Club
State of Quintana-Roo 77500
Cancun, Mexico
800/882-8215, 310/649-0794
Views of the calm blue sea and lush tropical vegetation await you at this high energy, moderately priced family resort. After a brief trip from the modern Cancun airport, you will be relaxing in your air-conditioned, terraced room overlooking Crown Paradise's beachfront facilities, planning your week's vacation.  Choose from tennis, aqua-aerobics, windsurfing, beach volleyball, swimming in one of four pools - the list goes on and on.  Plan to eat at seven themed restaurants (one adult-only) and two snack bars, where the food and service have been called both "ordinary" and "outstanding" and get ready for evening entertainment and dancing.

While you are busy staying fit or just relaxing on the white sand beach, your children (18 months to 12 years) will be under the supervision of a trained staff. The spotless Baby Paradise Club provides nursery care for those up to 3-years-old and its large glass windows enable moms and dads to sneak a peek whenever they like. The English-speaking staff is supervised by a trained early-childhood specialist; all have completed a mandatory course including First Aid and CPR.  With a ratio of 1:3, caregivers also feed lunch and take the babies to the small wading pool and for walks on the beach. At the end of the day, parents are given reports on how their babies ate and slept.

The main component of The Kid's Paradise Club (ages 4-12) is its noisy aquatic park with pool and water slides.  Other kid's activities include volleyball, treasure hunts, sand castle building, face painting and crafts.  Both the Baby and Kid's Paradise Clubs are free of charge, and open daily from 9am to 5pm and 6 to 10pm except Saturday when they close at 6 pm, and evening babysitting for a fee, can be arranged.  When enrolling children, parents provide a brief medical history and information on where to be reached during the day.

As teens need a space of their own to chill out, Teens Paradise (13-17 years) offers water slides, beach volleyball, bocce ball, horseshoes, and croquet from 9am-5pm.  Kids can also enjoy themselves in thr Jetix arcade game that has ping-pong, pool, air hockey, watch a movie at the Collage movie theater, or dance at Nitro disco.
